Brazilian Blowout News

There recently has been a lot of talk about the "Brazilian Blowout" treatment being a health concern and the possibility of it containing formaldehyde or formaldehyde-derivatives, both of which are hazardous to one's health if exposed to heavy amounts and/or for a long period of time. We have also been researching heavily into this matter, as the safety of the services we provide and the products that we carry are critical to our philosophy of providing quality service.

Our solutions were bought directly from sources in the U.S  with "formaldehyde-free" labelled on the bottle.

However, since this matter has not been completely resolved, we have decided to pull this service from our salon until it is determined by the Health authorities that it is safe to continue using Brazilian Blowout's solutions.

If you have any of Brazilian Blowout's retail products such as the shampoo, conditioner, masque, and serum, don't be alarmed! These products are safe to continue using and are formaldehyde-free. The concern is regarding the Brazilian Blowout solution, which is available only for professional use.

As of now, Health Canada is advising salons to discontinue the Brazilian Blowout service. More details regarding the advisory can be found here:
