Summer days are over and we can feel old man Winter creeping in on us. But before Winter comes Fall, with our tan glowing skins fading, and washed out hair colors it's time to feel like we need a change for our own good!

So my lovely client decided she needed to change her hair and tone it down a notch. Time to get rid of the Beyonce' and bring on the Rihanna! 

Last night we had the famous Christopher Deagle, platform artist for Davines, come into the shop last night to upgrade us on some cutting techniques. I personally wanted to work on naturally wavy hair and how can my clients acheive that look without getting frizz and too much bulk. My models hair is quite thick but medium to fine in texture but can get pretty frizzy and big at the top round of her head.

It's been awhile since I've been on here blogging, hope every ones Holidays were good. Mine was great as always, got to go home, (Calgary) and spend some nice quality time with my family and my friends. Vancouver's a great beautiful city, but sometimes it's so fast paced that you just need to get away from it for a bit, and I find going back home to Calgary slows things down for me when I need it. 

Okay, so I was out doing what I do best this weekend, which is shopping of course! I was on a mission to find a good pair of combat boots, since they are a trend for this winter (but that is not only the reason). I've been looking for the perfect pair for a while and haven't really come across one that I "love" quite yet. There are so many choices out there, it makes it more difficult to decide.

That's right, we thought the days of the Bobs were gone..... for now. But it's back again, here spotted Kiera Knightley with a new do. Nice clean sophisticated short bob, there are so many forms of bobs, but right now I'm noticing they are becoming one length, even all around, no more asymmetrical, longer in the front shorter in the back bobs. Trendsetters all around are looking for more full round clean lines to the new "Bob".  Long gone were the days of long wavy summer hair, could this be a new look for the winter hair style....we will have to wait and see.

Heres a picture of one of my clients who wanted to go bubble gum pink, she was a fun outgoing cool girl so it totally suited her personality. The overall finished turned out great as you can see, had her walking out the door all "bubbly"!
